This has no title [I Am Not A Good Writer Still I Like To Write My Thoughts]

How deeply do you breathe when you're slightly afraid?
When the excitement pushes you, and apprehension pulls you back?
How does your hand shake at this new end or adventure?
Do yiu dare jump? Would you dive? Do you run away?
If you're not a praying person, the first thing to do is to not panic. Just stop and think about what's really going on. The worst thing you could do is make a decision when you're under duress. When I have an important decision to make, I pray about it and usually wait 3 days and that gives me plenty of time to think about the pros and cons of the situation and realistically, gives me time to get my head together, to determine what would be the best solution. And breathing exercises really do help calm one down. Just take a deep breath through your nose and hold it for a count of ten and then slowly blow it out of your mouth. Do this as many times as you think you need it. I would say if you do that 10 times for your first time, all at once of course, that would really help. There's really no need to panic. A problem is really not the problem. A problem is just a teaching tool and challenge. It tells us that we need a change in our lives, so it is for our good, nothing to harm us. It teaches us patience, endurance, stability, humbleness, gratefulness and thankfulness, self-discipline, and builds our confidence and self esteem. It teaches us that we can look at things in a better way to create the best outcome. It is true, that if you change your mind, you will change your life. You know, whether it's an hour, two hours, or a day, time can make all the difference in the world, because you know, things can change in a matter of minutes, hours, or days.
The natural instinct is to run away, yet that is the worst thing you could do. You face it head-on and address it until you have it resolved. There's no need to run away. God gives us the answers, if we care to ask. The Bible addresses every issue in life that we might have and gives us the answers.
Sometimes what we think is our end, is actually the beginning of a great new beginning. Sometimes we have to take out the trash, not let it sit in our spiritual house and get rotten. When problems come, it's just God telling us that something needs to be resolved in our life that is not good for us. That's all it is. It is for our good.

@LadyGrace I am not sure yet, because the car isn't due for one. However, I just scheduled it for an oil change and wrote a note to the mechanic about the symptoms.
@SW-User I hope it won't cost you much. I don't trust these mechanics. If they say something needs replaced then I tell them okay, just put the bad part in a bag and give it to me when I get there.
SW-User
@LadyGrace I am going to a mechanic who has serviced my cars for years, so keeping the fingers crossed here...

I first take a deep breath and then try to think as clearly and quickly as I can about three things:

What are my options? Do I have the ability to affect the situation in a positive way?

How likely is it that things are really going to go pear-shaped?

What is the risk (to me, to others I care about, or to strangers) if things go wrong?

That usually guides my next reactions.
@FrozenWasteland That is excellent. Good thinking.

When it comes to fight or flight response reactions, I tend toward the fight side... I have been trying to teach myself to save the energy and walk away from unwanted drama.

If I find drama/adventure that is of interest, then yes, I will go for it.

@SW-User then you dive into your own apprehension?
SW-User
@Notanymore Hopefully not. Diving into apprehension wouldn't get anyone anywhere. I look before I leap and try to get involved in adventures or new experiences that are healthy for me rather than the opposite.
SW-User
Depends on what it is . I think there is some truth in doing things that scare us ..we should do them anyway..sometimes the thing that scares us the most is the thing worth doing ..

@SW-User and adventure is what makes us live
SW-User
@Notanymore yes, absolutely. Life is for living and not sitting on the sidelines.
Notanymore · 36-40, M
@SW-User yes!
Can I just shoot it and walk around it?
SW-User
@Pinkstarburst Get behind me. I'll protect you
