I Love My Mom

I'm losing her so slowly, so painfully...

But I never would have known what an amazing woman she is/was if not for this time.

I wouldn't know what an amazing woman I am either.

Mom, I love you x infinity + all the stars in the sky.

I'm so sorry. To watch a loved one be devoured like that would destroy me.
How tragic. You are her rock, nevertheless, to remain so close by her side despite everything.

Is this Louis-body Parkinson's?

Good friend has Parkinson's..without dementia. He's done well over these 15 years. Diagnosed in his mid 50's. Was very scary for family at first.

@SethGreene531 She's getting more tests soon because she progressed so rapidly we didn't make it in to see the neurologist before she ended up in the hospital. This whole time we've been without many answers. She would black out and fall every time she tried to walk. She's only 66 but there were other health issues as well. Diabetes, heart disease... Her legs have completely twisted now and she's in very obvious pain all the time.

I am glad your friend is doing well enough. Parkinson's sucks.

She took care of me, I will always be there for her.
@Paintedfox That's a terrifying ordeal. Without the additional health complications.
Sounds as though they are preventing you a clear picture of what's going on.

My gosh, the onset was very quick. Though neuro-muscular disease aren't usually pain centered. Odd.
Is she on the younger side or 60 ish?

Sounds like you have family support in this at least..that's key.
Yes, mother's give us the world. Taking such care. It was the least you could do.

My friend is on meds for it, so they help but his symptoms are quite obvious. They were afraid it was ALS at first.

I heard a story of someone who had rapid onset dementia in the 40's, and was confined to a nursing home. Turned out it was a severe mineral/nutrient deficiency...he walked out once they replenished it in his body. Was some sort of vitamin.

Take care..w're praying for you.
