I Handle Physical Pain Better Than Emotional Pain

Way better.
Sometimes I hurt myself to distract me from emotional pain. Nothing dramatic, of course. I just bite my tongue or cheek, pinch my arms, or dig my nails into my palms. As long as it keeps me from crying, I don't care. 😅

Years ago when I needed to snap myself out of negative thoughts/depression... I wore this wide rubberband around my wrist. Every time I started obsessing, I'd pull on the rubberband and snap the crap out of myself. It worked!
I taught my brain to behave ;-)
