"We'll see" usually means like 95% chance of it being no. Rarely does that translate into anything.

"Sounds like fun" is more like I want to, but realistically I know it isn't feasible for whatever reason.

There is a 5% chance I will be strongarmed into it.
Left to my devices I'll have forgotten about it the minute I am out of that conversation.

That’s my way of preparing myself. So, I’ve already conceded that it ain’t happening.

I used to do that to keep from hurting feelings; feelings still got hurt so I always go with a clear "NO!" now 😅
