I Am Thankful

Before I found you, I was lost. I was blindly, recklessly charging down a path that lead nowhere, apathetic to who I hurt along the way, even if it was myself. I sought pleasure, not happiness. Any quick high to get me through to the next one. I know inside myself, that I could go back to that, if I let myself. Because without you I'm a disaster. Without you I'm a hurricane. But you calmed all the storms in my heart, brought peace to the waters in my mind, and you opened my eyes to real love, to loyal, unconditional, respectful and honest love. I hadn't known a love like that before. Thank you <3
