I Am Wondering What the Point In Living Is

Lately I've been wondering this. I simply do not see the ponit in living at all. All we are doing is using up oxygen, and unecessarily taking up space that could be used for something much more important than us. We are simply an irrelevant species that deserves to die off, and I hope we do.

There are multiple hypothesis to the meaning of life. I will list three. The first is religious, the second is scientific, the third is a compromise of sorts.

1. We were born into a universe created by some deity, and so we must reach enlightenment and an enhanced understanding of our creator. To become closer to them is our ultimate purpose.

2. We were born into a universe created by complete chance. The human race is constantly striving to better itself, and so one must contribute to this progress in some way. You must also allow natural selection to progress by finding an attractive and loving member of the opposite sex. To better and continue humanity is our ultimate purpose.

3. We were born into a universe we know nothing about. Since we cannot know how we really came to be, the only thing to do is to live for ourselves and each other. To be happy is our ultimate purpose.

No matter what, humanity is an absolutely beautiful species. It does not deserve to die off. I believe that we will either be killed off by a greater power or ourselves. Whether or not we are worthy to exist will solve itself. Until then, find a purpose and stick to it.

If we are such a beautiful species, then why are we so destuctive? Why are we so cruel? Not just to each other, but to the enviorment around us. We seem to destroy everything we touch.

It is lack of responsibility to the world around us and to ourselves. But you cannot condemn the entire world to the acts of a few greedy men.
