Any advice on what you do. How to fight the urge to spend money?

I have decided enough is enough and going to work hard on working on my issues with spending money. I do great on paying all my bills on time and taking care of responsibilities but the problem is hanging on to that extra money and not spending it.

Any andvice or tips would be great!!

Get mint and track obsessively. Trim your most expensive hobbies. Buy used whenever possible.

Get your money sent to the bank, and don't let your self use a credit card.

Puts you on a budget of what you take out in cash each week.

Of course I'm a saver by nature, so I have the opposite problem, but thought it was worth the idea.

@Viper no it’s a great idea and I appreciate it! I only have one credit card for emergencies like car troubles but the spending comes from actual money I have and not credit

Set up a savings account that you pay into monthly.
Itemize your expenses.
Don't get takeaway food like pizza delivery cook your own meals.
Don't but the latest phones/tech they are expensive.
