I Need a K1 Visa

My girlfriend and I are working on applying for one of these for her, and it is and has been a very involved (and expensive!) process. She got her background check information from the UK police and it came back with no active trace (thank God.)
So now I have to fill out a form I-129F and pay $535 just so she can START the visa process on her end (she lives in Germany ATM but is originally from the UK, where she has lived for most of her life.) I am so worried I won't fill out something on the (very long and complicated) form correctly and it will get rejected. Also, I have to provide proof we've spent time together in the past two years. It is not listed what is counted as proof on the form, just that I have to provide it. (Maybe the flight itinerary from when she was here last year for two months?) It is all very stressful and making my ever-present anxiety even worse. I'll be so glad when this process is finally behind us.

does she fall into one of those reject categories?

@newbie So far we haven't had any problems with the process. According to her background check she shouldn't get rejected due to anything criminally related. I just worry about messing up some minor detail in the paperwork (her or me,) and that causing the application to get rejected.

@beckandcall well i guess one of the qualifications to succeed is that you're able to fill out the application form - not too high a bar I hope? sounds like you were nervous she wouldnt check clean for criminal activities? 😅

@newbie Yeah it's the form. It's vague on what's considered proof of time spent together in the past 2 years and how to attach examples of it to send with the form. They can be pretty specific on what they will and won't accept a lot of times too (think parameters for acceptable passport photos. Jeez.) Some of the questions are worded kind of awkwardly as well. I think it's a racket to drum up business for immigration lawyers tbh but I can afford to hire one of those. C says official government forms in the UK aren't nearly as confusing as this one.

@beckandcall but your post says she is originally from the UK so she shouldnt have any problems entering and live in her home country ?? 🤔 seems like you're over doing/thinking this whole thing ... 🤤

@newbie I live in the US. She's trying to come here.

@beckandcall but ... UK is one of the visa waiver countries! It literally means that people from their country has the normal visa requirement waived = they don't need a visa to enter the USA! As I said I really think you're making too much of a fuss out of something really straight forward 🤓

@newbie Really? I/we didn't know that! Thanks for the info! ☺

@beckandcall you're welcome 🤗 see with minimal research you could have saved yourself all that hassle and worry - happy it's sorted now, but sometimes it amazes me with what people go through just because they are too lazy to actually look up the rules...
