I Need a K1 Visa
My girlfriend and I are working on applying for one of these for her, and it is and has been a very involved (and expensive!) process. She got her background check information from the UK police and it came back with no active trace (thank God.)
So now I have to fill out a form I-129F and pay $535 just so she can START the visa process on her end (she lives in Germany ATM but is originally from the UK, where she has lived for most of her life.) I am so worried I won't fill out something on the (very long and complicated) form correctly and it will get rejected. Also, I have to provide proof we've spent time together in the past two years. It is not listed what is counted as proof on the form, just that I have to provide it. (Maybe the flight itinerary from when she was here last year for two months?) It is all very stressful and making my ever-present anxiety even worse. I'll be so glad when this process is finally behind us.
