Could this mean I am diabetic? I don't drink fizzy drinks, but i tried one last week.

30 minutes after i had a glass my hands were shaking and i had not much focus. I felt weak, and it was my first time in years since i had anything like that to drink.

check if the drink had caffeine in it. And also, get a blood glucose test. It never hurts to know.

@BlueVeins it had no caffeine, it was lucozade. i thnink that has no caffeine.

@SW-User I don't think you should worry too much; energy drinks are full of like a trillion different chemicals. Maybe you just reacted badly to one of 'em. If you really wanna see, try making a lemonade with a lot of sugar and see if that does the same thing.

Or just check your blood glucose levels. That's really the better option.

Oh I had that happen too a year ago. I ate 2 of those Oreo doughnuts and felt all weak and shakey. Its a blood sugar spike I think.

I got my bloods taken not that long ago and I'm healthy so you'll be fine. I have sugar quite often also so 🤷‍♂️
No diabetes usually has symptoms like fruity smelling urine and tiredness.

What you sound like you had was a sugar rush. You took all that fast acting sugar and your blood sugar levels spiked. Take a blood test to be sure but at your age, unless grossly overweight, the odds of being diabetic are actually.pretty low.

Possible but it's equally as likely that you don't but the amount of sugar in the drink caused an insulin spike
It's more likely that your sugar levels spiked as a result of not drinking sugary drinks that often.

If in doubt go ask your doctor to test your blood glucose levels.

You might have had a reaction to aspartame or other toxic ingredient. Someone mistakenly gave me a diet drink and I had a similar experience. Last time I have had any kind of cola drink.

I don't think. It can be due to something else.

Unless a test is performed, this cannot be conclusively proven.

That sounds like either hypoglycemia, or dehydration.
