So you're anti-vax. Why?

What good evidence-based reason do you have for endangering yours and other people's children?
SW-User
I'm not anti-vax but I believe in safe and properly researched vax it's the Mercury in the vaccines that cause autism. Funny how I was a normal baby until I had a vaccine and what do you know, I'm stuck with a life sentence of autism, if I didn't have autism I'd probably be married with children right now. But no I have to live with this life sentence, being told I'm going to have a limited adult life because of this, being looked at as awkward or creepy when trying to interact with people. Constantly wanting to kill yourself because what's the fucking point?
Humans have the capability to heal themselves without advice from some fuckwhit with a white coat who claims to be some top science quack. So of this quack injected me with autism, do you think it's right I inject him with an overdose of the cocaine I became addicted to because I find life with autism hard to deal with?

@Celine here's one link and if you take the time to read there are other links with even more info. This would probably give you a better understanding wether you agree or disagree. But at least see both sides to the story. [c=#BF0000]http://vaccinationdecisions.net/vaccines-and-autism/[/c]

I am not talking about vaccines given to infants and kids. I am speaking of the vaccine Gardisil.

I have read articles written by doctors who are against vaccines such as Gardasil. It is marketed as an anti human papillomavirus for older kids, females to be exact. The big pharma claim it prevents cervical cancers and is administrated to girls in age bracket of 9-13 years.

This is a very new vaccine. There is limited research on it. Very limited.
12,000 of the young women suffered adverse side effects and and a 32 young women have died.

One article in particular stands out in my mind. The article was quoted by a doctor, who himself is a father to (a) daughter(s). He was very clear that there was NO conclusive evidence to suggest this NEW vaccine does in fact prevent these cancers. Also, he said that because this vaccine is so new, there are NO case studies, to demonstrate what the long term adverse side effects are.
However, we know that the short term side effects are death.
He saw no sensible reason to administer it to his child.
And I for one, agree with him.

" Gardasil is a vaccine intended for girls and young women between the ages 9 to 26 to protect against human papillomavirus (HPV), a virus which is currently linked to an estimated 70% of known cervical cancer cases. Because Gardasil prevents only the onset of HPV infections (rather than curing those who have already been infected by HPV), health officials have advocated that girls be vaccinated for HPV prior to adolescence (or as soon as possible thereafter) in order to head off the occurrence of cervical cancer later in life.

The message quoted above warns that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has already received nearly 12,000 complaints about adverse medical issues related to Gardasil vaccinations, and that 32 young women died after receiving Gardasil vaccinations."

@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON The fundamental idea of vaccinations is genius and does wonders for humanity. The problem is greedy pharma companies covering up bad side effects so they can profit from a poorly made vaccine.

I'm not, but my friend's mom is. She says she's "read lots of studies" that prove they cause autism. I doubt she's done more than watch obscure YouTube videos, but people can find anything to corroborate what they already believe, no matter how poorly researched it is.

@Celine Like I understand why people come up with this stuff. Autism rates are rising and people struggle to understand why. So they latch onto something that's different about the modern era vs. previous times (i.e. vaccines) and say that's the cause, but it's arbitrary. There's also more computers nowadays, why not say computers cause autism? I've never seen a single reputable study that suggests vaccines cause autism.

@Celine Exactly. And in fact I think that's largely been proven. But anti-vaxxers won't see that.

Some idiots believe another fool's opinion outweighs actual training and experience. The same suckers who fall for political and economic charlatans.

I work in medicine and I love all the benefits new technology brings, yet I am very cautious of medication in particular. Just one session at my ambulance unit about the effects of just a couple of medicines and it took over an hour to present. I prefer to keep myself healthy with a good diet and exercise routine, medicine a last resort. I took roaccutane for several months and I really think it did damage, I know chemists that have said they were offered the same medication and they strongly declined.

Of course, being educated in biology, I know of the benefits of vaccinations. I know that the insertion of an inactive strain of a virus allows the body to learn how it works to later fight it off. Edward Jenner was one of my favourite scientists. But the drugs industry that provide these vaccinations are incredibly corrupt. I live in Europe, and I know of medications that were banned in the US due to the side effects which were dumped into the health services of my country. I am all in favour of vaccines which are properly screened, I'd encourage children to have them for all manner of viruses etc. But with the terrible screening of vaccines, I'd be cautious.

@Celine Yeah, looking at some of the "music" out now, you could literally play two chords and talk over it, and as long as it's recorded with a 4k camera, has a record label and some young bearded men and a skinny woman in the video, it will climb the charts.
