I Just Need To Rant A Little
I'm tired of people saying how "we choose our own life/path" because I'm quite sure no one would choose to have gallstones at the old age of 21.

Good point. Thank you. Diet and supplements might help with the stones...
but yeah its very cruel to talk that way. In the USA that mentality came in big after the Civil War, it served the rich only. Pursue wealth, forgetting all but self. It was not an accident and it wasn't our perception. It was preparation for the obscene gap in wealth and power we have now. Heavy sigh.
In the sixties and seventies the dime store self help movement hit hard and that kind of talk was soooo common, way too puking common. And a lot of it stuck around馃槖

I'm not sure if it's cruel but most of these type of advice is unnecessary and it could hurt a person. The person saying this usually means no harm but doesn't think of what could it mean to the other person. To some, it might be inspirational but to others, it might be...not. I just wish people would mind their own business more...
