I Love Old Things

I was out hiking with my boyfriend and we found a place near my house with a whole lot of Native American pottery, took a picture of a few really good pieces over a blanket

The markings look machine dyed. Looks more like "Made in China" replica that "someone" chopped up and is presenting as authentic.

I cleaned them lmao I can take some pictures of the damaged ones if you’d like, I only put out some of the best ones I found @MarkPaul

@GlitterBug Okay, let's summarize...

1. You were on a hike with your boyfriend.
2. The "hike" path took you near your house.
3. There was a large pile of "authentic" Native American pottery pieces.
4. You washed the pieces and selected some of the more distinctive ones to display.
5. You placed the cleaned pieces on a presentation blanket and took a picture.
6. You completed your "hike" near your house and posted your findings.

@MarkPaulwhats so unrealistic about half of those?
1- yep me and my boyfriend like to go on hikes
2- i never said we took a path, we like to sort of wander and discover our own stuff, was probably a 4 hour trip altogether of hiking through the desert, close enough to say near my house for me since I live in the middle of it like an hour away from the city
3- wasn’t a pile, it was all scattered around, we found a bunch of bits and collected them
4- I wiped them down with a wet cloth because some of them were buried in the sand and were filthy
5-that blanket was my bed because I brought them home with me
6- I completed the hike by ending up back home and wanted to share what I found with people who might think it’s neat rather than keeping the experience to myself
I don’t understand why this is a thing XD

@GlitterBug I apologize. I didn't mean to be argumentative. I just am... skeptical, I guess you could say.

I can understand that. I guess my living situation is pretty unique too, how many people do you meet who live in the middle of a desert, and on top of that how many just wander around the desert like I do XD i suppose it’s odd but I’ve found some neat stuff out there @MarkPaul
