I'm Not a Religious Person
even though people can argue or debate Stoicism is a religion, I mixed feelings about that...
I grew up religious and there were some struggles. that's a given whether you're Christian, Buddhist, Atheist, etc. and I'm not rebelling from anything or even how I was raised; I had just reached that point in life where I felt compelled to go my own way. I have nothing against religions or religious people as a unit - it's when its purposes get twisted and misconstrued and molded into a person's own aspirations and ideals is when I get nauseous. that's when legalism and selfishness and forced conformity gets involved and that's how I got out of the desire to be religious.
