Why I call myself "it"

I never felt a strong connection to either gender growing up. In fact I believe nobody is either truly masculine or feminine. I firmly believe most people fall somewhere in between because there are masculine and feminine qualities in every single one of us. I know what you are thinking "IT" seems like a pretty mean thing to call someone. You're right, it's not a nice title but I embrace it. I'm turning that insult on it's head and making it my crown.

Oh but your gender is what you were born as? I was born a certain gender, in fact my drivers license and every form of ID I have contains my birth name and gender both things I don't go by. I think it's wrong for humans to try to label everyone and everything in order to try to understand or make sense of things. Sometimes people get so caught up with labels and trying to shove everything into a box they miss the bigger picture or meaning altogether.

I am proud of who I am.

@MalteseFalconPunch Rarely is anything in this world black and white and I think it's wrong to ignore all the various shades of grey inbetween.

If you are proud of who you are then I'd say you are doing well.
