Why are GP surgeries full of idiots?

I go in, I'm washing my hands and a woman tells me to wash my hands, I show her the gel oozing between my fingers. She tells me to sign in at the computer. I ask her why not the person at reception and she explains it is to avoid infecting her. I punch in at the computer and notice she doesn't wipe the touch screen, and ask why. She tells me it is because everyone washes their hands as the come in! I've already got a chip on my shoulder and she adds two more, I politely explain to her that unless she washes the screen each time someone touches it, germs missed in the washing or touching of surfaces in between the door and computer, get transferred to the computer and then my hands. She says cleaning isn't her job! Ffs!

I pass over my paper prescription to the pharmacist window and she says they are not allowed to touch paper. I ask her how she does her job without touching paper, she wears gloves. PUT THEM ON!

So many inconsistencies. No wonder viruses spread. I hope you got your prescription without further confusion.

@oneofnine It wasn't a prescription for me, but rather than make a boring story longer...
But then she has to wash her hands again. There's really no end to it.
I've had similar experiences with medical.
People are crazy.
