I miss grandma Elsie - just all of her - and aunt Myrt smiling and saying “hey there Nik” and uncle Grover’s crazy laugh. I miss discussions with uncle Bill and how we’d always have to dig out the encyclopedias to look something up. I miss the late night conversations in the dark with Albin and watching the shadows move across the wall and the soft low sound of his voice. I miss the way Steve looked at me and the strangely absolute comfort of Jeannie and getting drunk and shooting pool with Angie. And these days I’m missing my parents’ hugs. ❤️
