I Work In Retail

Yesterday some kid was in the store just talking and whining in a shrieky voice as loud as he could just constantly. He stayed at least an hr. I didn't think he'd ever leave. When he finally did I said,"that boy and that screaming. He was loud." The lady checking out turned out to be his grandmother and said, "that boy is my grandson and he autism, ADHD, and defiant disorder. I am sorry he got on your nerves." She very defensive. I felt bad and said, "oh I'm so sorry ma'am. I feel sorry for him having that." I didnt know if he cpuld help it or not, i just said he was loud. She went out and abt 10 minutes later the boy's mother came in and asked for my name. I'm sure she will call and complain I was a monster for saying anything. I swear, it takes very little to offend people. It's almost like people actively LOOK for things to be offended and upset over. Sometimes I miss the good old days, as recently as the early 90s, when you didn't have to tiptoe around kids and their endless disorders. If adults complained abt a kid's behavior 30 yrs ago it was assumed to be the kid's fault not blamed on a bunch of disorders.end of rant

lol I knew where that story was going before I clicked.

I don't think she should of complained, you'd think she'd be understanding that others aren't going to be telepathically aware of medical conditions. Simple sorry should suffice tbh, they're just being malicious past that point.

@Ryannnnnn She called the manager and complained abt me that I badly hurt her by saying anything. Ugh. I may possibly be fired over it. Honestly, you can't say anything to anybody these days. Everything is taken as offensive.
