I have talked to one. She was traumatized and mentally ill and had been that way since the end of WWII. I also had an older friend who had lost her whole family that way.
Recently, I read a very interesting book about trauma survivors referencing camp survivors, violent crime victims, combat soldiers and others who have been severely traumatized. The book is:
