I Need a New Job

My interview yesterday went quite well and I was asked back for a second interview at the business offices this morning. I rearranged my existing work schedule and showed up promptly at 7:40. I began to suspect something had gone awry when couldn't get into the office suite and no one came out to meet me.

Turns out the interviewer meant to tell me to come on Friday. The others we're meeting with weren't available this morning, so I have to go back tomorrow.

She apologized profusely and I laughed it off as no big deal because at least I'll know I'm in the right place tomorrow. She told me that I looked great and to wear the same thing tomorrow. I'm taking that as a sign that she's rooting for me.

A few minutes ago, she emailed me her cell number to call in the morning to let her know when I arrive, so she can let me in. I'm trying not to read too much into it, but that also makes me think she's leaning toward making an offer and this second interview is more of a formality.

These are good signs. Maybe it was a stress test and they wanted to see if you’d lose your shit when something went wrong....
@Harmonium1923 perhaps so. She did ask a question about that yesterday.

Heres another possible test. The original interview time was 8:00 and then she emailed back to ask if I could be there at 7:40.

8 happens to be what time the center opens and 7:40 is when I'm expected to be there. She knows I live about 30 min away and have to drop my girls off at school before coming in. I think she was testing my ability to be there on time in morning traffic.
