I went through this, caught like so many by the surprises of this form of interaction. The unexpected intensity and just coming to terms with what it showed me of myself and my needs and how I was coping (or not) with my reality. It taught me to appreciate what I had and accept what I didn’t. My choices are my own, as is the responsibility for my happiness, peace, and well-being, and as long as I choose to share my life with him, he has a right to my consideration.

I had RL, but then he decided he needed other forms of RL. I went online to vent, and found some amazing friends online. Some I still chat to today, 6 years later. They saw me through my divorce and some pretty bad times. By far the best support I ever received from some of my family members and friends in RL.

@Niloo It is rare and special. We learn just how special when we survive the heartache of an online-fling/fantasy. It's easy to get caught up in it and before you realize it you're in deep. Never again.
