I Have Lost People I Love From Cancer

My dad who I loved died from cancer when I was just 17 years old.He was really the best dad ever.He has such a sense of humor,was kind,loving.I really do miss him greatly.

Many of us know the same types of loss. It's strange how the kindest and sweetest people tend to go first. Maybe the next world needs them. Who knows. Cancer took both my mother and father long before the allotted time, but only the creator knows what's really going on.

@Butterflykisses24 My sister passed on Christmas eve and it was self inflicted. I spent Christmas alone in introspection but I baked my first turkey solo, and it came out perfect! I was amazed by my culinary skills! One of the best turkeys I've ever had was my first attempt! I used two cubes of butter coating it, and I baked it under foil at 325 for four hours. I rubbed it with Adobo and some Cajun seasoning called "Slap Yo Mamma:. I was really proud of my first turkey! Zechariah the schizophrenic messenger of God was passing by pushing his bicycle with a black garbage bag wrapped around his neck so I went downstairs and invited him to dinner. He was too busy talking schizophrenia and drinking to eat but I sent some with him in Tupperware.

Sorry, that must of been hard on you, but I know how you feel I've lost my father too. I was very close to him. I'm sure he knows somehow that you miss him.

What sucks is that a drug addict overdoses and gets Marvin free..but someone with cancer pays for medication. SMH

My father passed away when I was 6 years old. I have a gaping hole in my heart that never heals. I love him and I miss him more than anything in this world. He passed away from lung cancer. Sorry for your loss.

Cancer took my dad in 94 and then my mom in 04. It sucks. My mom had pancreatic cancer and that is one of the cruelest ones. My dad died of lung cancer that spread like wildfire. He actually seemed relatively comfortable compared to my mom. I'll never forget his last words. He looked at all of us and said, "Well, what do you guys want to do?" My mom was thrashing until they drugged her up enough that she couldn't just before she left us.

Cancer is an ugly beast and there are few people who have not been touched by it in some way. I am sorry for your loss and I have lost family as well.
