I Love Cufflinks

It was gratifying on EP to find groups devoted to better dressing for men, including finely-tailored suits, shirts with French cuffs and other matters of style. In reviewing them, I found many men seeking advice in this dark-age-of-style about how to dress well. Just when I discovered these groups and began to offer some suggestions, EP shut down. Here is hoping these groups sprout up again.

Ive known some personal stylists who have lived by the motto "less is more"in regards to clothing.

@laotzu92 Im sure he was.But I do think that,within the boundaries of common sense of course,style can be fluid and changing depending on the individual.What works for one person may not for the other.

@DavidT8899 i speak only for myself and iam willing to offer advice to those who aspire to higher standards of sartorial excellence.

@laotzu92 Well,when wearing a suit and tie-admittely a rare occurance for me-I like to keep it basic with maybe a touch of color.Think a basic black suit with a white pressed dress shirt;but for a little flash Id wear a single color tie(blue,green or red)thats neon bright.

Well, Sad, if you want to correspond with me, you'll have to use good grammar and proper spelling. Cufflinks won't help a loutishly behaved person. I'm sorry I don't have a strike through feature. You should have said,"I know but this site really is good and "talks about" (better: discusses) things you may not have really thought about or considered.. Anyway, what are your views on which cuff links people should wear?"
A plain pair of gold cufflinks is a good start as a first pair, perhaps small discs or knot-shaped.

yes, as I discovered a bit late on EP. there were many men who aspired to excellence in dress and were vaguely coming around to an appreciation of thirties' style as updated by fabric improvements. As a Savile Row aficionado, I wanted to do my part to give guidance. I do believe a renaissance is possible, only requiring enough supporters to give it critical mass.

Welcome Laotzu, are you ever a man after my own heart.
I perfer a man any day well dressed over one that doesn't have clothes on I believe that it's a lot sexier to take them off than not having any on.
laotzu92 · 70-79, M
I was referring to the quality, style and taste of the clothes one wears rather than to whether one was wearing clothes or not. What's underneath is a separate matter. :}

I can see after rereading my post where you came up with that conclusion.
I was referring to the clothes too. I really believe that it's wonderful when a man cares about how he looks.
