When you have a romantic interest?

Do you text your romantic interest all day every day as an adult? I feel like this type of behavior is common for teenagers and very young ppl under 25 but I think there should be a balance. DO you still tend to want to text your "crush" in other words the person you are getting to know all the time? IS it normal to not want to text a person all day even if you like them and are interested? Your thoughts? :)

When I’m interested in someone I generally enjoy talking to them so I may text more frequently but all day every day seems a bit excessive.

@summersong Yea I enjoy talking to him. I just think I feel like ppl tend to portray that behavior but maybe I am wrong haha

@JaneCas I think everyone does it a little differently. You guys will figure out what works for you

I think it's normal to want to know more about the person who you are interested in. There are some things that should never change even as adults

@lancetroy Yea I agree on wanting to know someone better, however texting endlessly throughout day of long paragraphs and not get anything done does not work for me, it just annoys me, no matter how much i like the person. I prefer talking on phone which we have done. I am not a multitasker and must focus on one task at a time.

@JaneCas I agree that's what phones are for...talking lol...it's useless to text that much besides texts can be misleading or misunderstood.
I think it's a very personal choice. Some couples like to text a lot...some don't. Do what you feel comfortable, and don't get stressed by societal norms.

@Vivaci Thanks!!! Yea I kinda feel pressured to text a lot at early stage of getting to know each other, I just don't really like this. I mean hes older than me by a decade so I think he gets it, we both have lives.
@JaneCas Exactly! I don't text my lover as much and it works for us too. 💞😊👍

I'm getting a bit old for that kind of thing now, as well as getting a bit old to use that silly abbreviation of "people".

I txt a few times during the work day knowing I am more free to do so and not expecting to hear from them during the work day
kentex35 · 100+, M
Hahaha at my age you're talking pushing a rope through a bale of hay.
JaneCas · 26-30, F
@kentex35 Haha I have never heard of that expression.

@JaneCas I hope you don't believe me. Feel free to lie.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
I don't have a romantic interest but no, I would not want to text all day
JaneCas · 26-30, F
@iamnikki Good to know someone in my age range feels the same. :)
I'd rather leave someone wondering what I'm up to than have them wince when the alert chimes - again.

I try to pace myself to match based on someone's conversation initiation and reaponse rate.
