I Am Not Everyones Cup Of Tea

I would like to find other people who aren't afraid of themselves - people who are willing to look beyond their personalities to their souls. It takes courage to leave behind the identity and move into the unknown. Having a willingness to do that is absolutely not everyone's cup of tea.

Nice!
This seems to be becoming less and less. It's all mostly surface shallow, the facade rather than the [b]core[/b]. Think it's why I have lost interest for social sites like this, it's vapid and boring to me.. I need stimulation deeper than surface.

I would love for more people to follow suite. And I know, first hand, how difficult it is to make that shift. Old habits die hard.

I'm so often reminded of the words of Carl Jung; "People will do [i]anything[/i], no matter how absurd, to avoid facing their own soul."

@Vivaci Yes it is. I think most people are so self-absorbed, the only thing they really care about is how they look to others. But you know, it's not entirely their fault. Authority instills fear into the people. It's a good control device. The people are indoctrinated into superficiality. Keeping the public entertained, and concerned about the superficial and mundane, keeps them from seeing truth [i]everywhere.[/i]

@Spoiledbrat Because growing beyond attachment to identity allows for expansion into one's True Self. The more of your True Self you live, the greater your connection to everything - life, nature, yourself and each other.
