I Hate 50 Shades Of Grey

I don't care if he's a billionaire, Christian Grey creeps me out. I'd have gotten a restraining order.

my biggest issue with fifty shades is that society allowed twilight to be plagiarized, and then become even more successful.

also yeah christian’s a weirdo stalker

@SW-User I've never read the Twilight books? Are they good?

@SW-User Thanks! I won't bother reading them. :)

@SW-User 😂 that's the shortest, most accurate review of them.

@SW-User And I have to say that I resent that these series are "for women". By middle school, I was reading Michael Crichton, Steven King, and Douglas Adams. I don't need a "for her" option in literature.

@Straylight not to mention a lot of men actually do enjoy these ‘for her’ alternatives. especially kids, loads of boys enjoy ‘girly’ books but aren’t allowed to cause they already know at age 6 that ‘girly’ is something bad 😣

@Straylight I love Michael Crichton and Steven King's older stuff. I'm not so hot on his most current books. I love the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child too and that's DEFINITELY in the "Not for girls" section and I don't care!

I started Crichton with Jurassic Park, like a lot of people, but moved on to Sphere, Andromeda Strain, and recently Pirate Latitudes. My current favorite author is Neil Gaiman.

@SW-User And it's sad that a young girl being into "boy" stuff is seen as tomboyish and cute, but the reverse is seen as something to chastise and weird.

@Straylight Crichton wrote Timeline and Prey. Both of those are outstanding!!!

@lilcountrygrl I love that the science in his book is so researched and realistic.

@Straylight I love it and it terrifies me! lol... The cool part about Timeline is after you read it, time travel doesn't seem like such an impossiblility!
