Time for a Service

Have a mobile Mechanic coming to me tomorrow for a major service of my Sedan.
Usually I leave it at their Auto Shop but thought it was time to do it in my Domain.
Taking it to them, they have it for hours and I do not know what they really do. Did they change the oil? Did they replace the spark Plugs? How would I know?
How often do you get your vehicle serviced or do you do it yourself?

When I had my old car I used to do just about everything myself.
Oil; plugs; points; filters etc.

Then I bought a new one and discovered that if I even attempted it I’d invalidate the warranty ! So now I have to pay a garage to do it and then drive around wondering if they actually did the work they charged me for

@Picklebobble2 Which is why I have decided to have it done at my place. I can watch him doing the work. Making conversation so as to not look like I am standing over him

Every 10,000kms, WOF and oil and filters. New plugs about every 50,000. Don't do it myself anymore. Last cost for WOF and change was for 45 minutes of labour. Seems fair.

@novaguy2u Here in Australia we do not do WOF as a matter of course. Only if the vehicle is put off the road as unroadworthy or registration runs out then it has to go over the pits and be passed as Road Worthy.
