I Love the Sound of Her Voice

My sister's old band is going to play again at a club this Friday and they invited her to sing with them again but she turned it down. 馃槺 She reunited and performed with them a couple of weeks ago for the first time in years and they put on an amazing performance; my sister showed that she can still sing her heart out! It's wonderful hearing her sing as it is watching her. She's so full of energy onstage and looks like she's having the time of her life! 馃槃 Which is why it astounds me that she declined the band's invitation to sing again. She says it was a one-time only occasion and doesn't want to make it a regular thing again. 馃槩 She has said before that singing isn't her passion and she does have two girls to look after now. But still, I think she could seriously make a career out of being a singer. That and I just love hearing my sister sing. *sigh* 馃槥

I can totally understand and relate to your sister in this aspect.
I gave up singing with the band I helped start up because I had a baby too, it's hard to have a musical career and a family. Family usually gets the short end of the stick.

One of my uncles played the base for a very big regional Mexican band. But he was married and just had his second son he had missed out on the first 3 years of the oldest kids life, he gave it up. The bad is really big now- bigger than they were then. Still he doesn't regret the choice, his wife had no family of her own to depend on and he didn't want to miss out on his kids life.

@Carver well not anymore lol
About 4 years ago my vocal cords were damaged by 3 back to back bouts of strep and immediately followed by a severe case of laryngitis.
That and my hormones also changed my voice, I have a deeper voice kinda raspy now- sounds like I have a cold all the time.
