I Am Feeling Hopeless

I just wish that I have someone to be with me when I cry. A lot of times, I feel so alone. 😞 It has been a month since my mom died. The painful thing is when I feel hopeless that my husband will eventually understand what I am going through. 😢

I’m sorry about your mom. It’s possible that your husband simply doesn’t know how to help and feels helpless. If he is a “fixer”, empathy is hard and being helpless may feel like failure. My guess is he cares more than you realize but won’t express that the way you wish he would.

@trackman11 It could be that. A lot of times, he wont understand my silence at all. Instead, he will pick a fight. It hurts a million times. Most of the time, I just cry myself to sleep. It’s the thing that I can do.

@tryingtobeOK I don’t know him or you but it’s possible he is hurting just as much, but neither of you understand each other enough to empathize. You have lost your mom, which is incredibly hard. He may feel like he is losing you. I hope you find a way to give him grace and reach out, not because he is right, but because he was worth getting married to. 🙂
