Did I give the impression that I wasn't interested in him?

Last time we texted he said "I know it's too late" talking about the possibility of a relationship and i sent a message then unsent it. It's Bern a Month that we haven't texted. We live on opposite sides of the globe. I met him when I was travelling last year and slept with him the second time. We are friends on Facebook and have texted really sporadically since.
