It isn't about comparing ourselves to what others have or don't have; it is about being thankful for the things in our life that make us happy. For some people it is kids, others maybe it is a job, or maybe our pets. For some of us that have an illness it may be just waking up to a new day some days. One thing I have discovered in my lifetime is that I can't compare my life to others because it does me no good and when I did I ended up miserable. I have had horrible things happen to me in my life- I have been in a relationship filled with domestic violence. I have been shot. I have had multiple miscarriages and lost a child. There are other things, but those come to mind at this moment. All of those things have happened to me yet I'm still here and able to sign on with the screen name fungirl. You don't have to be happy all the time and we all face things every day, but you have to believe that today is going to be okay because I am alive and tomorrow is going to be even better because I'm going to make it better for myself by taking the actions to do so. I hope you feel better soon, but remember some days just waking up to a new day is enough until you get to your happy place again.
