I Am Battling Self Harm

I used to self harm years ago. I quit,but recently tried it for anxiety relief. Now I don't want to stop.

I'm dealing with this from a parental point-of-view lately. It's difficult for everybody. I hope you can find ways to relieve your anxiety that are healthier. If you'd like to talk to somebody, Gabby, my inbox is open.

Please take care of yourself.

@LookingForIt987: thanks! I'm really struggling because I'm not talking about it with anyone. I know I can talk to my boyfriend about it, as he used to do it when he was younger as well, but I don't want to upset him.

@gabby: One of the worst aspects of illnesses such as depression and anxiety is they make us feel alone - like nobody will understand. If you don't want to talk to your BF about it, I'd suggest your doctor is another good source for you. He or she can help you with the underlying anxiety that's causing your problems in the first place.

Again, please take care of yourself.

@gabby: That's good...
Seriously, meditation will make you feel better. Also, exercise. A good work out in the gym or a nice long run does wonders...

Self harm isn't a good idea. You should think about the long-term consequences.
