I Am On The Edge Of Giving Up Hope

I dont mean hope entirely, because hope has always kept me going. But hope for something deeper, something more meaningful. Every day I search for a reason to stay, but there is only one reason really worth staying for -You. And everything else is just 💩. The job market here is not wonderful and it is cold and politics and policy suck here. No mountains. No oceans . Why stay? I can’t. I have to leave. I have to get away from here - my life is not here anymore.

Be content in everything....life changes in an instant. It is not where you live, but how you feel inside about life. Wherever you go, what you feel in your heart will follow you.

I agree with what you are saying but i will only feel good inside of me when i get career satisfaction which i wont get where i am now because the industry my experience is in is not very prominent in the State i live in. @Raffie

@Raffie I agree with you.im not trying to run away from everything.Thats not it at all.I want to live in Australia.Id like to sell everything and go.I need to get all paperwork in order and get that all paid.I know I could survive there.

I'm sorry but I totally understand

Hope is kind of bullshit. To me, it implies doing nothing and wanting everything to come to you. You don't need hope when you work towards goals and obtain what you want.
Danez · M
@Tatsumi not necessarily... sometimes you venture out with 'hope' that you are making the right choice or that it will turn out as you 'hope' for
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
@Danez Mm. I suppose so. Slippery slope, though, I think.
CheerfullyCurious · 46-50, F
Absolutely, you can work towards career goals etc. but it does not necessarily mean even if highly qualified you will get the job for example - the recruiter must still like you. That is completely out of your control . Hope means not giving up on something you work toward but fail to achieve - it makes you be friendlier in the next interview or make you do more research about your interviewer so next time you will more likely succeed. I guess hope =dream or wish in some sense to me . It could even be attached to luck (if there is such a thing) Hope drives us. (It drives me). @Tatsumi

Maybe, no mountains there either .@Selah

Sounds scarily familiar. Just survived a layoff. Once the reorg is done, I'm looking for the next job. The near future does not look sunny at all here.
