I Have Schizoaffective Disorder

I was originally diagnosed with bipolar 2 at the age of 16. It wasn't until last year that they changed my diagnosis to accurately reflect my illness. I've found a regimen of meds that helps, but I'm still occasionally overwhelmed by my illness.

It appears that you have come to accept yourself as that is still a hurdle for me. I have epilepsy and it severely bothers me at times. Others in my scenario have done it, but it seems impossible to me at times.

@wordswithstrangers I may be a lot of things, but I don't allow myself to be identified by my illness. There are all kinds of things that make up the person that I am; schizoaffective is only one. <3

@girl4god Yes! You are made of a myriad of things. Too many people don't understand the danger in the language they use in regard to mental health, not mental illness.
