I Have Schizoaffective Disorder

My husband wants me to get at least a part time job so that I can support myself, because his hours got cut for the next 5 months and he can't do it no more. He is 56 and he fears retirement that he won't be able to support me and that we will have to sell the house. If I don't work I won't get CPP for my future...I told him that Ill just go on AISH and he said that won't pay the bills. I just don't have the energy to work at all, he said that it's time to get over being lazy.

It doesn't need to be a 9 to 5 job. Find something you can do from home. As for the lazy comment...well if we give him the benefit of the doubt he is frustrated, if we don't then he is an insensitive jerk. But you do what you feel you should do.

You have to think does he have a point? He knows you. You cannot do nothing and expect to live freely.

Couple counseling might help temper his remarks. You know what you are capable of.
