I Have a Funny Story to Share

The car park at the back of my work was being renovated and was basically just a vast sea of mud. The builders had placed a large wooden plank across it so we could walk from the back door to the gate, safely across the mud. One day, when we closed up, I was last out and my colleagues had removed the "bridge" for a joke. I couldn't go back in as I didn't have a key and I'd already slammed the door. I was wearing skinny black trousers, ballet pumps and black socks. My heart was racing as I stepped from safety into the mud. My shoes disappeared into it immediately, it came up to my ankles! I could feel it oozing into my shoes and making my socks all slimy! As I tried to take a step I realised that my shoe was stuck as if it was in glue. It was only a little slip on number, I just couldn't get it out so had to leave it behind and to the joy of my colleagues, put my sock down into the mud. This then happened to the other foot so I was actually almost up to my knees in it, in my socks! I managed to pull my shoes out but got even filthier in the process. Now that my socks were smothered in a layer of thick mud, I didn't see any point putting them back on, so I squelched, mud filled shoes in hand, across the ooze. Then it got even deeper and I sank right up to my knees! I got really dirty, and my shoes were ruined! But you know what? It was a really hot day so I found it very refreshing! What a great way to cool down! You've got to take a positive!

I don't have it in me to be upset by things like this. I secretly enjoyed getting muddy, like a kid!@Londonguy23
