I Have a Funny Story to Share

Back in 2012, a couple of friends, relatives and I went to a small island in the Caribbean called Anguilla. At the time, there was a festival going on and my aunt and some of her friends who worked there were setting up shop on the beach to cook for the beach goers. While there, I continuously heard from the locals about these cakes called Johnny cakes and how good they were. Eventually, I got excited and wanted to try one out, because I love sweets you know. So the next day one of the cookers finally made these Johnny cakes for everyone. The finally product is this fried biscuit that kinda looks like a donut. I was eager to try one, but when I bit into it, I felt so disappointed, it was really dry and there was hardly any sugar in them, the locals loved them though.

The locals need doughnuts.
