I Hate That We Need Money to Survive

I hate that we need money to survive. I hate money in general. It represents yet another way in which we are enslaved to society. It is a powerful system of control, ensuring that we can never break away from modern society completely... Ensuring that we can never be free.

They say money makes the world go round, and in many ways that statement is true. But there is so much more to this world than money. So much more life has to offer us. Yet we allow ourselves to be restrained by money.
In a perfect world, I'd travel the globe in search of knowledge and enlightenment. I'd trade goods and services from my homeland for board and lodging in another. I'd be free to live my life as I see fit, without having to be drawn into the dramas of modern society. But money is the reason I can't do that. Money is the reason we can never be free.
A stable income is required in order to keep ourselves clothed and consistently fed. And only after our basic necessities have been met, can we put money aside for the things that are important to us. But all requires money. All requires our continued enslavement.

I have come to terms with the fact that the monetary system is here to stay. I don't have to like it, but I have to yield to it... That is, if I have a vested interest in keeping myself alive... Which I very much do ;-)

I feel the same but I think money is a good idea. It become a "universal" trade. So that's good because if I got paid with corn, lets say, there isn't a lot of things I can tray that with. I think it's made us more in sequence and united but there is people who can break the system and get super rich. That's when I get very confused about money, how it can just be a number in the bank but necessarily physical. It trips me out. Like what if our countries money or "richness" is just a number and we actually don't produce anything? it'll be like we are just playing monopoly, no real value but yet we go crazy for it.
