I Think There Are Some Truly Disgusting Groups On Here

For some reason there more perverts on SW than any social media platform I have encountered.

We all have a free will...
Dreammmer · 56-60, M
@MartinTheFirst: Haha, then I can commit crimes? Free will is also to be mindful of others.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Dreammmer: being perverted is not a crime...
Dreammmer · 56-60, M
@MartinTheFirst: Writing about it is... at least in my country. Germany. And my point was that free will should not be abused as a license to do what is wrong or to glorify what is wrong.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Dreammmer: what you think is wrong someone else might think is right... so once again... free will...
Dreammmer · 56-60, M
@MartinTheFirst: Honestly, that is nonsense. Your life does not funtion like that as if everyone is free to define right and wrong and morality as he likes. Your family does not live by that and your society does not either. And it certainly has nothing to do with free will just as crimes have nothing to do with free will. People are accountable for their thinking and doing and the posts referred to by this author are topics that no one would dare to discuss in real life.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Dreammmer: well... that's your opinion and you choose to live by these norms, as you clearly see, people think differently than you because of one thing, their free will.
Dreammmer · 56-60, M
@MartinTheFirst: Again, you write nonsense. Apparently you dont know what you talk about.
In the Christian perspective (which the West was founded on,and still influences it in this post-Christian age) free will is the greatest gift God gave us after life itself. This is because he made us in his image and wishes us to join in his divinity. But that can only be accomplished if through free will we make decisions to pursue good.

@beckychandler: And most people do not come into this world wanting to make the right decisions they have to be guided and taught to exercise free will appropriatly
Dreammmer · 56-60, M
@beckychandler: From a biblical pespective no one has free will. People are either under the dominion of Satan or under the dominion of Jesus Christ. There is no alternative. In real life people can chose to do right or wrong. In real life free will is never an excuse to do what is wrong.
A helpful guideline is this definition of free will:
Free will is the ability to choose between different possible courses of action. It is closely linked to the concepts of responsibility, praise, guilt, sin, and other judgments which apply only to actions that are freely chosen. It is also connected with the concepts of advice, persuasion, deliberation, and prohibition. Traditionally, only actions that are freely willed are seen as deserving credit or blame.
Again, your post does not concern free will as the young man tries to make up. His claim seen by light is a call for anarchy - and that is wishful thinking.
@Kathryn05: There is the problem of "original sin" --babies as cute as they are -- are selfish little creatures --who would do anything to satisfy their needs if they had the strength. They need to be disciplined so they can use their free will to pursue truth and beauty. This is the consensus of society until the late 18th century -- and it was then that Rousseau and the Marquis de Sade, and the other so-called "Enlightenment" figures, turned the world upside down --children were born pure and innocent but ruined by society and its institutions (in particular the Church). This was the beginning of the revolt of the Left -- and the anti-spanking/permissive parenting ideology was one of the first things -- permissive parenting is a core principle of this revolt against nature: https://similarworlds.com/9895914-I-Think-Liberals-and-Leftists-Are-Killing-the-Worl/628177-I-think-for-many-parents-when-smacking-fell-out-o

@Dreammmer: Free will means that you get to choose what to do. You can choose the options other people present you with, or you can choose to create options to follow. The bible is all about free will, and how it should be handled. No one if forcing you to do anything, only because God made it so that they can't force you to do something, but you're encouraged to do a lot of things. Also a reason for why you can't expect others to follow what you think is decent, you can't force other people to do what they do not want to do.
Kathryn05 · 41-45, F
@beckychandler: Oh I agree with that 100% There is an odd idea in modern society that if left to their own devices people will do what is best for them. This seems to be a very silly notion to me because clearly everyone has decided that business leaders can't be trusted to work for the public good! Selfishness and the me me me attitude is the default position for people especially kids. They need to be trained and brought up to look beyond themselves.
Dreammmer · 56-60, M
@MartinTheFirst: The bible is all about Gods will, not free will. There is not a single word about free will simply because it does not exist. Man is by nature a sinner and needs redemption and help to do what is right. "Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2
Never once did I even hint at forcing someone. This post is about perverted people posting what is disgusting and wrong not only in the sight of God, but also wrong in what is commonly accepted by society as moral and right.
