IAmNothing Let me put it like this. When you're not working out you are still losing calories. This is called your
resting metabolic rate. If you only eat once a day, you will have a low-resting metabolic rate. So, lets say your Metabolic Rate is 70. That means you burn 70 calories an hour without exercise. If you eat only once a day, your body is going to go into conserving food mode (it's a survival instinct). So instead of burning 70 calories an hour you'll burn 40.
But if you spread your meals throughout the day your body will feel invigorated. So you might lose 100 calories per hour. See how that would lead to losing weight?
Don't think of it as eating more. You can eat the same amount as you are now but spread that calorie intake throughout the day rather than eating it all at the same time. Another thing that raises your basal metabolic rate are things that increase your energy like coffee.
