I Kind Of Think So.

I'm one of those annoying people that loves to stay positive and likes to be friendly to others....

In my defence....

Why? Negative rubbish doesn't help you find a solution to your problem. Ok, so the idea is to not have the problem in the first place....but it's here now! Stop bitching and whining...and sort it out!

...and then I expect to be treated a certain way and so why shouldn't I treat others like that too?

So...there you go.

Enough to turn as many people away as attract...

@samueltyler2 Irving's parents were refugees from Russia, they came to the US as a result of Russian antisemitic pogroms in the 1880s.

@samueltyler2 Michael Feinstein made two excellent albums with Irving Berlin songs in 1986, Live at the Algonquin und Remember; the latter contains a wonderful rendition of "Let's have another cup of coffee".
Highly recommended! 🌸

@helenS I think.Ella also made a Berlin songbook. Did you know that he only could use the C-major scale? He had a special piano that allowed him to change keys by moving a lever.

@samueltyler2 Yes I am one of the few who know this! I have an Irving Berlin song anthology for piano, I can play some of his tunes. 😁

… and he couldn't read music 😄

@helenS I am not sure about the music reading. He started his career demonstrating new sheet music in tin pan alley.

I love playing his music as well.

@helenS and piano, also can still do pretty well on the guitar. Many of the Berlin tunes sound so great on a muted trombone.
