California sucks.

South California sucks, I plan on moving away from this here anyone know anything about Utah? I know it's full of Mormons I'm just so tired of the liberal debauchery culture here in California. I need a change. I know the minimum wage over there is lower than in CA. But once the minimum wage goes up, each year, in California everything goes up, in price here, plus the weather sucks where I live and, there's a huge homeless population here in town.

Check out places in Texas. I've lived in the Dallas area my whole life. Not perfect but beats California.

@girlsmoke1975 The location of the supercollider project has stranded half my stateside family in that region. Even in Texas, there have got to be alternatives. Dallas-Fort Worth is like the Sacramento of Texas - it's not terrible, it's just incredibly bland.

@QuixoticSoul There are places in Texas I like better than here. This just happens to be where my husband and I work and own a house. still better in my opinion than California by a long ways.

@girlsmoke1975 I mean, it's an upgrade from say, central valley, or inland empire where the op lives. But those are the worst places to live in CA too.

In the end, you can be happy just about everywhere, especially once you've put down roots and have friends and family nearby. But damn, OP is young, it's a good time to live somewhere actually cool. Maybe somewhere with real outdoor recreation options and non-shitty weather.
