Some hurts leave deep wounds. They take time and effort to overcome. Very true that words of comfort or avoidance don't help overcome these wounds. While i agree there are some things that will become part of you, such as loosing a child, and other equally devastating forms of trauma, for the most part i believe that most things can be overcome short of willfully clinging to them. It can take a very long time and require conscious effort, possibly medication, therapy, and the support of others (absent of judgement and platitudes)... Our thoughts, feelings, perceptions, mindset, beliefs, and experience shape who we are - we can take baby steps to move toward healing. It may only be an inch at a time, but over time you move closer and closer.
I'm sorry you are hurting. I wish you comfort. I wish you a path to healing that works for you. I hope for you that whatever is causing your pain - that you can overcome it and heal as much as you are able. Many of us suffer in various ways. Hopefully we can offer each other support and encouragement and foster healing.
My very Best wishes for you.
