I Lost My Father

I had the nicest dream last night.
I dreamt that I was in bed and I could hear the tv in the lounge, but everyone else was in bed.
I figured someone forgot to turn it off.
I went out to turn it off, and as I was about to I hear someone ask what I鈥檓 doing. I turn around and Papa is there, laying on the couch watching tv. As he did every night.
I was shocked. I apologized. I was so happy to see him.
He offered to turn it down and I said no. I sat on the floor in between the couch and the tv for a while and watched tv with him.
I was just so happy he was alive.

@LyricalOne he鈥檚 in a lot of my dreams. If the rest of my family is there, he is. But it鈥檚 never a huge thing. It doesn鈥檛 get noticed, if that makes sense.

This dream was just so nice and lovely. And just calming. And it took the time to acknowledge that he was there. It actually felt like he was visiting.

I am very fortunate.
I really hate how vividly I dream. It鈥檚 all night, every night. When I wake up I feel like I haven鈥檛 slept at all.

But at least I see my dad a lot.
