It's possible to recognize a person's right to do with their body what they want (as long as they don't hurt anyone else), and at the same time care enough about them to try and put them on a healthier path. In fact it's necessary, since if it's not the person's own choice to better themselves, it will never last. Yes, you are allowed to hurt and even kill yourself (in my book anyway). But I will try to convince you not to, because I believe there is almost always a better path.
