I Have Short Term Memory Loss

There really isn't that much to say about other than if I type this and fold down the laptop so it is shut, I couldn't tell you where I was and what I wrote. I often lose track of days and time so I have to write things down in a book, keeping with me and set alarms to remind me to take things or turn off the cooker.
Ironically I can tell you what I was doing years ago!

Short term memory and long term memory is different. They stored separately in the brain. For memories to make it into long term, they have be profound, to skip straight through short term processing. Or they have to be mulled over and repeated in short term to make it to long term. If your short term process is damaged, then you will remember everything thing before the damage, but not after.
