I Am a Prisoner In My Own Home

Imagine this.

You're laid off from your job and have to move to Texas because you're broke now and can't keep your apartment, and couldn't find another job in your old state. In Texas, you have no job even though you have spent all year applying for any and every job that opens in your town and 3 surrounding towns. You have a car, but you can't drive it because it's not insured (again, you're broke), and the transmission is shot in it. You live in a tiny house with 4 other adults- your in-laws, your sister in law, and your husband who is disabled and cannot work. You have a dog and a rabbit, and there are also 4 other dogs in the house who belong to your MIL. You are confined to your bedroom that you share with your husband, because you are allergic to cigarette smoke and your MIL insists on smoking inside the home. She does not work- so it's all day long that she is in there smoking. You stay in your room 24/7 and depend on other people for your rides, your food, and the water and electricity you use. You have no way to leave the house on your own and you live in a rural area that has no taxi services or walkable neighborhoods. You have no way of getting out or moving away because you have no family or friends.

Welcome to my prison.

Sounds horrible. I don't mean it superficially, all of the best.
Sounds like being dealt a shitty hand. Sorry.

It doesn't sound nice but I guess at least you have a roof over your heads. Hang in there hopefully something will turn up.
