I Got The Cane Or Slipper In The Sixth Form

@Sharon I can't remember a mass slippering in the 6th form. At my school you were usually whacked individually in private if the need arose.

@Rebecca54 It was rare in any year, other than in the gym. That might have been the only time an entire 6th form class was slippered like that but there were a few times when a small group (3 or 4) of 6th formers were slippered together.

@Sharon In the 6th form we were asked to report to the teacher during a break period in the 6th form area which was separate from the rest of the classrooms for a discussion on whatever you had done/not done. If the outcome merited the slipper you bent over in private.

@Rebecca54 At my school we weren't treated very much differently from 1st - 5th years. We were still slippered in front of the class as before. The only difference was that we were allowed to wear trousers in 6th form so, if we were, we had a little extra protection.

@Sharon I think most teachers tried to start treating us as adults in the 6th form but we still got the slipper/cane if thought necessary. We were allowed to wear black trousers for the first time when I was mid way through the 6th. Nearly all the girls opted for trousers straight away. I had the "honour" of being the first girl to be caned over trousers which I have posted about elsewhere on here!

@Rebecca54 Most of my teachers did too but only as long as we behaved like adults. My 6th form maths. teacher was an exception in that he used the slipper just as much in 6th form as in any other year and more than all the other 6th form teachers put together.

6th form girls were allowed to wear trousers some years before I started 6th form. I was one of the first 6th formers of my year to be caned, about 3 months after starting 6th form.

@Sharon Can you remember what you did? Was it over trousers? My 6th form caning was for popping out into town during a free study period - and being seen by a member of staff.

@Rebecca54 Mine was for leaving the premises at lunchtime without permission to go to the pub with some other girls and boys. They didn't know about the going to the pub bit. I was wearing a skirt so I got it on my knickers. The other girls were too. It wasn't the first time but on previous occasions we'd just been slippered by the teacher who saw us or, in a couple of cases, just told off. This time we were all caned by our year head.
