I Like Speedos

Well it finally happened. The pool I use has banned boardshorts for men. They had another younger boy drown while wearing boardshorts. He is the third one this winter two during the Christmas holidays and this one last week. All were under 10 years of age. The EMS responders said his boardshorts weighed almost 6 lbs and they were pulling him down.

When I went to swim this morning they had notices posted saying the male swimmers could wear swim briefs, square cut, trunks or jammers. They can't wear thongs, bikinis or board shorts.

This doesn't impact me because I always wore either a speedo solar or Turbo water polo suite.

6 lbs is not enough to drag a child to the bottom of the pool and drown them. If it was every child in the world who wore a bathing suit to get into a pool would drown.

Its also not like a bathing suit becomes a lead weight when it gets wet.

@smileylovesgaming Board shorts are the equivalent of wearing a parachute in the water and if worn by youngins that small they *WILL* have much more difficulty moving around in the water than if they wore regular swim shorts.

@Marceline A board short is the long down to your knees baggy shot.Some people say they are for men to wear as a cover up over s smaller swimsuit such as a brief.
