Sure there are. Just like I'm sure there are people who let life be without overeating or drinking alcohol. There's lots of paths up the mountain.
But just to toss it out there, self-medicating with substances to alter reality has been going on for as long as mankind has existed. It also exists in the animal world. I personally believe we're hardwired for it but social constructs limit the use.

@Ynotisay: do you really think the laws are followed there to where there are no drugs being consumed there. I'm not being a jerk. I truly have no idea.

@Justpeaceandlove: Drugs are consumed everywhere. But if you get caught there with drugs, or even drinking alcohol, the penalties can range from lashes with a whip to execution. I had an expat friend who was there for a while. He said it's no joke.

I smoked pot when I young and did some cocaine but raising kids on my own I stopped everything. I don't even like taking the Motrin that's prescribe to me for back and neck pain. I'm just curious why people take them.
